Koppal January 2: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clarified that the arrest of Karasevaks in Hubballi is not driven by hate politics, emphasizing that innocent people have not been targeted.

Speaking to the media at the Ginigera airstrip before his departure for Vijayapura district, the CM addressed the arrest issue, stating that action has been taken against wrongdoers as part of the directive to dispose of old cases. He mentioned that if there is a court order, appropriate action will be taken.

Discussing the ongoing padayathra by guest lecturers and their demand for permanent positions, Siddaramaiah acknowledged the difficulty for the government in making such positions permanent, despite ongoing discussions with the lecturers.

In response to the Chief Priest of the Ram Mandir stating that only Ram devotees have been invited for the inauguration, the CM expressed uncertainty about the invitation recipients, stating, “I don’t know to whom the invitation has gone or who has not received it.”

Regarding drought relief, Siddaramaiah informed that the process has commenced, and a temporary relief of Rs 2,000 will be provided for crop loss. After Aadhaar linking, the amount will be disbursed to the farmers.
